RF Engineer
Requirements:
Seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer/Engineering Manager to work closely in a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to help define the future of military communication systems. The selected individual will have the opportunity to apply cutting edge digital signal processing technology to address real world problems we are currently facing.
Basic Qualifications:
• MS in EE or related field and 10+ year’s experience
• Project management experience
• Experience with lab and field test equipment and methodologies to evaluate radios and communications devices for interference resilience and Low Probability of Detection
• Must have firm knowledge in advanced digital signal processing techniques as the apply to software defined radio development
• Must have the ability to analyze and report results from various RF modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.)
• Must have through knowledge of Physical and link layer design and analysis of RF communication systems
• Must have the ability to analyze various signal processing solutions and articulate variations in the proposed solutions
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (radio developers, field test engineers, spectrum management) to execute field demonstrations and evaluations
• Experience developing and executing detailed test plans and schedules
• Experience preparing test reports, program and status briefs
• Understanding of tactical waveforms and or tactical radios a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment
• MS Degree in EE or Equivalent
• US Citizen
Required Duties:
• Coordinate and manage vendor development of advanced radio technologies in support of U.S. Army requirements
• Develop and execute lab and field test plans to evaluate potential vendor solutions
• Brief scientific findings through the chain-of-command
• Manage small teams of engineers and scientists in the development and evaluation of software defined radio solutions
